How to Get Here
Your journey to paradise starts here
Tatajuba Beach is located about 390 km from Fortaleza International Airport (Pinto Martins), on the stunning west coast of Ceará. The journey is a true immersion in Brazil’s northeastern landscape, passing through fishing villages, lagoons, and dunes that set the tone for the paradise awaiting you at your destination.
Private Transfer
The most convenient and comfortable way to reach Tatajuba is by booking a private transfer from Fortaleza. The trip takes around 6 to 7 hours, depending on road conditions and stops along the way. Transfers are usually made in air-conditioned 4x4 vehicles, driven by experienced professionals who know the region well and can safely navigate the sandy tracks leading to the village.
2. Renting a 4x4 Vehicle
Another excellent option is to rent a 4x4 vehicle directly at Fortaleza Airport. The drive follows the CE-085 highway (Rodovia do Sol Poente), passing through towns such as Itapipoca and Acaraú before reaching Jijoca de Jericoacoara. Once in Jijoca, it's highly recommended to hire a local guide for the final stretch to Tatajuba — a route that crosses dunes and sandy trails and requires some local expertise. In addition to ensuring safety, your guide can enrich the trip by showing you scenic viewpoints and hidden lagoons along the way.
Helicopter (On Request)
For those seeking a truly exclusive experience, private air transfers from Fortaleza can also be arranged, landing near the village. This option, available on request, offers a breathtaking perspective of Ceará's coastline from above.
